Fitting the 2010-12 style facelift tail lights to earlier models is a popular upgrade for many Range Rover L322 owners. However fitting these later lights can cause a few strange things to happen:
- When you turn the ignition on the car does a bulb check and although not noticable on standard bulb becomes a strange disco on the LED lights
- When indicating Left or Right the flasher flashes faster than normal
- The fog light comes on with the rear lights
- You dashboard tells you there is a problem with the bulbs in your rear lights.
This circuit board has been designed to solve these problems and allow the tail lights to operate as they do on the facelift 2010-12 models.
This kit is to fit all Range Rovers from 2002 to 2009 - all models that left the factory with non LED lamps.
This kit is a PAIR of circuit boards one for the LEFT and one for the RIGHT (both boards are the same). This board has been designed with screw terminals to make the wiring easy - you cut the 5 wire cable going to your light and screw the 5 inputs to one side and the 5 outputs to the other side.
We also supply 2 cut lengths of heat shrink sleeving that you use to enclose the circuit board when the wiring is completed (and tested). This circuit is small enough to sit between the rear light and the inner panel.
These boards seem to work with most vehicles but NAS (North American) spec vehicles seem to be slightly different and the boards do not always work with the US specifications.
Fitting Details:
- Remove the rear lights
- Following the diagram to make the connections
- Test the function of all the lights.
- When you are happy all functions are working slide the heat shrink sleaving over the circuit board and then apply heat (heat gun) to shrink the tube over the circuit.
- The circuit will sit between the rear light and the inner panel.
